Saint-Martial is a French municipality with 116 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement Saint-Jean-d'Angély and is part of the canton Matha (until 2015: canton Loulay ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Martialais .

Saint-Martial is located about 59 kilometers east-southeast of La Rochelle in the Saintonge . Saint-Martial is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Coivert in the north and north-west, Blanzay-sur-Boutonne in the north-east, Saint-Pierre-de-l'Isle in the south and east, and La Jarrie-Audouin in the south and west.
