Bagnizeau is a French municipality with 207 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement Saint-Jean-d'Angély and is part of the canton Matha . The inhabitants are called Bagnizeautins .
geography
Bagnizeau is located about 70 kilometers east-southeast of La Rochelle in the Saintonge . Bagnizeau is surrounded by the neighboring communities Gibourne in the north, Les Touches-de-Périgny in the east, Matha in the south and La Brousse in the west.
