Le Pin is a French municipality with 411 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Allier in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Vichy and the canton of Dompierre-sur-Besbre (until 2015 Le Donjon ).
geography
Le Pin is about 55 kilometers east-southeast of Moulins on the edge of the Bourbonnais countryside . Le Pin is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Coulanges in the north, Molinet in the northeast, Saint-Léger-sur-Vouzance in the east and southeast, Saint-Didier-en-Donjon in the south and southwest and Monétay-sur-Loire in the west.
