List of New Zealand Islands

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This list includes the islands and archipelagos of New Zealand . In addition to the two main islands, a number of islands in the main chain, inland islands and the Outlying Islands, some of which are very distant from New Zealand, belong to New Zealand. In addition, some archipelagos are politically associated with New Zealand, but not part of New Zealand's national territory. In addition, there are a number of Arctic islands to which New Zealand makes claims that are not recognized by international law.

Islands for which, as is customary in New Zealand, there are equivalent names in English and Māori , are listed under both names.
