Eduard Heinrich Henoch Berlin, gardens of the Charité University Hospital 1890 Martin Wolff Mediciners On the grounds that it was a depiction of a Jewish scientist, the bust of Enoch was dismantled on the night of July 28, 1940, initially stored by the Charité and in May 1942 sent to a NSDAP collection point "for recycling as scrap material" submitted. One must assume that the bronze bust for Eduard Henoch was melted down.

In 1994 they financed the production of the bronze figure through a sales exhibition of works of art. The ceremonial unveiling in autumn 1995 was also intended to commemorate Rahel Hirsch's 125th birthday. Restored in 2008.

It was financed by donations from his students in memory of Pfeil. The choice of location was based on the fact that Pfeil regularly visited this area for recreation and hunting and carried out practical exercises in the forests around Thale with the students of the Forestry Academy to classify and evaluate the forests. In 1825 he also met Heinrich Cotta here . The monument takes place in a key scene of the novel Cécile of Theodor Fontane a role. It is included as no. 68 in the system of stamping points of the Harz hiking pin.
