Montot-sur-Rognon is a French commune with 131 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Marne department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Champagne-Ardenne ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Chaumont and the canton of Bologne ( Andelot-Blancheville until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Montagnards .

Montot-sur-Rognon is located about 21 kilometers north-northeast of Chaumont on the banks of the eponymous river Rognon . Montot-sur-Rognon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Roches-Bettaincourt in the north and west, Reynel in the east, Vignes-la-Côte in the south and south-east and Signéville in the south and west.
