Treix is a French commune with 230 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Marne department in the Grand Est region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Chaumont and the canton of Chaumont-1 (until 2015: canton of Chaumont-Nord ). The inhabitants are called Treixois .
geography
Treix is about five kilometers northeast of Chaumont city center . Treix is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Darmannes in the north, Mareilles in the northeast, Biesles in the east and southeast, Chaumont in the south and Condes and Brethenay in the west.
