Condes is a French commune with 304 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Marne department in the Grand Est region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Chaumont and the canton of Chaumont-1 (until 2015: canton of Chaumont-Nord ). The inhabitants are called Condois .

geography

Condes is located about three kilometers north of the city center of Chaumont on the Canal entre Champagne et Bourgogne and the Marne . Condes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Brethenay in the north, Treix in the east, Chaumont in the south and Jonchery in the west.
