Foulain (locally also: Foulain-Crenay ) is a French commune with 697 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Marne department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Champagne-Ardenne ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Chaumont and the canton of Chaumont-3 (until 2015 Chaumont-Sud ). The inhabitants are called Foulinois .

geography

Foulain is about nine kilometers south-southeast of the city center of Chaumont on the Marne . Foulain is surrounded by the neighboring communities Neuilly-sur-Suize and Luzy-sur-Marne in the north, Poulangy in the east, Marnay-sur-Marne in the southeast, Leffonds in the south and Richebourg in the west.

The A5 car route leads through the western municipal area .
