Romain-sur-Meuse is a French commune with 104 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Marne department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Champagne-Ardenne ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Chaumont and the canton of Poissons (until 2015 Bourmont ). The inhabitants are called Romanéens .

geography

Romain-sur-Meuse is about 37 kilometers east-northeast of Chaumont . Although the municipality name suggests it, the municipality is not located on the Meuse (French: Meuse ). This runs about 1.2 kilometers beyond the eastern municipal boundary. Romain-sur-Meuse is surrounded by the neighboring communities Chalvraines in the north and northwest, Illoud in the north and northeast, Bourg-Sainte-Marie in the east and northeast, Huilliécourt in the south, Ozières in the southwest and Clinchamp in the west.
