geography
The municipality is located on the upper Meuse in the Bassigny countryside on the border with the Vosges department . Neighboring municipalities are Liffol-le-Petit in the west, Liffol-le-Grand in the north, Bazoilles-sur-Meuse in the northeast, Pompierre in the east, Sartes in the southeast and Bourmont-entre-Meuse-et-Mouzon in the south.
