Liffol-le-Grand is a French commune in the Vosges department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ) with 2,144 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Neufchâteau and the canton of Neufchâteau . The inhabitants are called Liffolois (es) .

Liffol-le-Grand is on the border with the Haute-Marne department . The Saônelle flows through the municipality . Liffol-le-Grand is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Villouxel and Pargny-sous-Mureau in the north, Mont-lès-Neufchâteau in the northeast, Fréville in the east, Bazoilles-sur-Meuse in the southeast, Harréville-les-Chanteurs in the south and southeast, Liffol-le-Petit in the southwest, Aillianville in the west and Brechainville in the northwest.
The former route nationale 427 (today's D674) runs through the municipality .
