Certilleux is a French commune with 208 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Vosges department in the Grand Est region ( Lorraine until 2015 ). The municipality is part of the Neufchâteau arrondissement and the Ouest Vosgien municipal association founded in 2017 . The residents are called Certillois (es) .
Certilleux is located on the right bank of the Mouzon , about seven kilometers southeast of Neufchâteau . Certilleux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Rebeuville in the north, Rollainville in the northeast, Rouvres-la-Chétive in the east, Tilleux in the south and Circourt-sur-Mouzon in the west. From the river bank of the Mouzon, the terrain rises to the east by over 100 meters ; the stretches of land below 400 m show arable and meadow areas, the higher areas are covered by forests ( Bois Beugé ).

Economy and Infrastructure
In Certilleux there are four small businesses in the construction industry, two farms (grain and dairy farming) and various small businesses in the real estate, forestry and wood processing, transport and trade sectors.
The railway line from Neufchâteau to Gironcourt-sur-Vraine (originally to Épinal ) runs through Certilleux . Passenger traffic was shut down in 1989, the remaining freight traffic on the 27-kilometer section from Neufchâteau to Gironcourt glassworks is operated by SNCF .
