Maxey-sur-Meuse is a commune located 270 meters above sea level in the French department of Vosges in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the canton of Neufchâteau in the arrondissement of the same name . It is located on the upper Meuse on the border with the Meuse department and borders on Brixey-aux-Chanoines (Meuse department) to the north, Jubainville to the east, Soulosse-sous-Saint-Élophe to the south-east, and Moncel-sur- Vair , in the south-west with Coussey and Domrémy-la-Pucelle and in the west with Greux .
