Ainvelle is a French commune with 167 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2013) in the Vosges department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Neufchâteau and the Canton of Darney .

geography

The municipality is located 32 kilometers southwest of Vittel in the extreme southwest of the former Lorraine region. The rivers in the 9.03 km² municipal area drain south across the Apance to the upper Saône. The highest point in the municipality is the Raumont (442 meters above sea level) in a wooded area ( Le Menu Bois ) in the western Monts Faucilles .

Neighboring municipalities of Ainvelle are Isches in the north, Fouchécourt in the northeast, Les Thons in the east, Fresnes-sur-Apance in the southeast and Senaide in the south and southwest.
