The community with 63 inhabitants (January 1, 2017) is located on the upper reaches of the Mouzon , about 25 kilometers southwest of Vittel .

The environment in the area of ​​the upper Mouzon is considered to be very intact. Numerous streams that arise between the sandstone hills around Rozières-sur-Mouzon are known as the spawning waters of the brown trout .

Neighboring communities of Rozières-sur-Mouzon are Blevaincourt in the north, Rocourt in the east, Tollaincourt in the southeast, Romain-aux-Bois in the south and Damblain in the southwest.

history

The parish church of Notre-Dame in Rozières-sur-Mouzon has existed since the 12th century. Its Gothic portal dates from the 15th century. In 1881 Rozières got a station on the Merrey – Hymont-Mattaincourt railway . Until the 20th century, the municipality was called Rozières . The renaming took place in 1961 in order to be able to distinguish the place from other communities called Rozières .

Economy and Infrastructure

There are five farms in the community (dairy, cattle breeding).

The D 1 trunk road from Neufchâteau to Lamarche runs through the municipality . There is a connection to the A 31 autoroute four kilometers to the northwest . The Rozières-sur-Mouzon station is on the Merrey – Hymont-Mattaincourt railway line, which is no longer used by passengers .
