Monthureux-sur-Saône is a French commune with 879 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) and an area of 19.02 square kilometers in the Vosges department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). Monthureux-sur-Saône is part of the Neufchâteau arrondissement and the Darney canton . Until March 29, 2015, the place was the capital of the dissolved canton of Monthureux-sur-Saône .
The municipality is located around 40 kilometers southwest of Épinal . The center itself is on a ridge in a narrow loop of the Saône . Neighboring municipalities are Bleurville in the north, Attigny in the northeast, Claudon in the east, Martinvelle in the southeast, Regnévelle in the south, Godoncourt in the southwest and Saint-Julien in the west.
