Morelmaison is located on the Vraine on the southwestern edge of the Xaintois landscape , about 20 kilometers east of Neufchâteau . The municipality borders on Saint-Paul to the north-west, Dommartin-sur-Vraine to the north, Biécourt to the east, Gironcourt-sur-Vraine to the south-east, Houécourt and Viocourt to the south-west .
