Blevaincourt is a French commune with 108 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Vosges department in the Grand Est region (until 2015: Lorraine ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Neufchâteau and the municipality association Vosges Côté Sud Ouest .
geography
Blevaincourt is located on the eastern edge of the Bassigny landscape , about 25 kilometers southwest of Vittel on the upper reaches of the Mouzon River . Blevaincourt is surrounded by the neighboring communities Robécourt in the north, Sauville , Villotte and Rocourt in the east, Rozières-sur-Mouzon in the south, Damblain and Germainvilliers in the south-west, Champigneulles-en-Bassigny in the west and Chaumont-la-Ville in the north-west. While the village of Blevaincourt is located in the west of the municipality at about 350 m above sea level and is surrounded by fields and meadows, the bulge of the 8.75 km² large municipal area, which extends four kilometers to the east, consists of a closed forest area ( Le Creuchot ) Heights of just over 400 m above sea level.
Toponymy
The name of the village first appeared in a document in 1239 as Boveleincort . Economy and Infrastructure
In Blevaincourt there are a few farmers, a baker, a butcher, two carpentry businesses and a sawmill.
The two-kilometer easternmost of Blenaincourt station Rozières-sur-Mouzon is on the railway line from Nancy to Culmont - Chalindrey , by the TER Lorraine is operated. The A31 car route runs through the west of the municipality .
