Mont-lès-Lamarche is a French commune with 98 inhabitants (January 1, 2017) in the Vosges department in the Grand Est region ( Lorraine until 2015 ). It is part of the Neufchâteau arrondissement and the Vosges Côté Sud Ouest community association founded in 2017 .
geography
The municipality is located about 30 kilometers southwest of Vittel in the extreme southwest of the historic Lorraine region on the border with the Haute-Marne department . Just north of the municipality runs the Maas - Saône - watershed . The running waters in the 7.1 km² municipal area ( Ruisseau de la Fontaine au Fer ) drain south-east to the upper Saône. The river Les Prés de l'Eau takes a detour via the Apance to the Saône. The highest point in the municipality is an unnamed altitude (489 meters above sea level) in a wooded area ( Bois de la Plaine ) in the north-western Monts Faucilles .
The districts and hamlets of Les Fermes du Bois Brûlé and Le Pré des Vaux belong to Mont-lès-Lamarche .
Neighboring municipalities of Mont-lès-Lamarche are Lamarche in the north, Isches in the east and south-east, Serqueux ( Champagne-Ardenne region ) in the south-west and Larivière-Arnoncourt in the north-west.

The municipal coat of arms shows a cut open pomegranate blossom on a green stem with leaves bent to the left over a green three-mountain in silver . The Dreiberg symbolizes three prominent hills in the immediate vicinity of the village.

- Church of the Assumption of Our Lady ( Église de l'Assomption de Notre-Dame ) from the 19th century in neo-Gothic style, built in place of a previous Romanesque building and surrounded by several statues of Saint Sebastian and the Mother of God

Transport links
The D 460A road runs through Mont-lès-Lamarche and connects Lamarche to Jussey . There are other road connections to Isches , Serécourt and Ainvelle . The town Lamarche away in the eight km railway station is on the railway line from Nancy to Culmont - Chalindrey , by the TER Lorraine is operated.
