Haréville (unofficially and among other things on the entrance signs Haréville-sous-Montfort ) is a French commune with 480 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Vosges department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Neufchâteau and the municipality association Terre d'Eau .

geography

Haréville is located two kilometers east of the mineral water town of Vittel on the watershed between the catchment areas of the Rhine and Maas . Haréville is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Neuveville-sous-Montfort in the north, Remoncourt in the northeast and east, Monthureux-le-Sec in the southeast, Valleroy-le-Sec in the south and Vittel in the west.

Between 1962 and 2008, the population of Haréville doubled, which can be attributed to the construction of the Les Petits Pâquis development area . Many newcomers from the nearby town of Vittel found cheap building land here.
