Liffol-le-Petit is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Aillainville in the north and north-west, Liffol-le-Grand in the north and east, Harréville-les-Chanteurs in the south-east, Bourmont-entre-Meuse-et-Mouzon with Goncourt in the south and south-east, Prez-sous-Lafauche in the south and west and Lafauche in the west and northwest.
