Vroncourt-la-Côte (until 1924 only Vroncourt ) is a French commune with 25 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Marne department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Champagne-Ardenne ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Chaumont and the municipality association Meuse Rognon, founded in 2017 . The inhabitants are called Vroncourtois (es) .
geography
The municipality of Vroncourt-la-Côte is located in the Bassigny region on the northeastern edge of the Langres plateau at the end of a side valley of the upper Meuse , about halfway between the towns of Chaumont and Vittel . The 4.19 km² municipal area is divided into two parts: in the east, meadows and fields define the flat landscape, which is drained by the Maas tributary Ruisseau du Grand Ru ; a striking wooded escarpment ( la Côte ) measuring 110 meters in altitude in the middle of the municipality leads over to a high plateau that characterizes the west of the municipality with its wide grain fields. Vroncourt-la-Côte is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Huilliécourt in the north, Levécourt in the east, Maisoncelles in the southeast, Audeloncourt in the south and Thol-lès-Millières in the west.

Transport links
Vroncourt-la-Côte is located away from the nationally important traffic axes. The D131 road from Biesles to Chaumont-la-Ville runs through the municipality . Eleven kilometers east of Vroncourt-la-Côte, there is a connection to the A31 autoroute in Robécourt . In the eastern neighboring municipality of Levécourt , the railway line Culmont-Chalindrey-Toul runs without stopping in the vicinity.
