Jonchery is a French commune with 1,014 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Marne department in the Grand Est region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Chaumont and the canton of Chaumont-1 (until 2015: canton of Chaumont-Nord ). The inhabitants are called the Joncherois .
geography
Jonchery is about four kilometers northwest of Chaumont city center . Jonchery is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Meures in the north, Bologne in the north and northeast, Brethenay and Condes in the east, Chaumont in the southeast, Villiers-le-Sec in the south, Euffigneix in the south and southwest, Gillancourt in the west and Blaisy and Sexfontaines in the northwest.
