Semilly is a French commune with 108 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Marne department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Champagne-Ardenne ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Chaumont and the canton of Poissons (until 2015 Saint-Blin ).

Semilly is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vesaignes-sous-Lafauche in the north and north-west, Prez-sous-Lafauche in the east and north-east, Chalvraines in the south and south-east, Clinchamp in the south and south-west and Saint-Blin in the west.
