Chambroncourt is a municipality with 49 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Marne in the French region of Grand Est . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Chaumont and the canton of Saint-Blin and is one of the 59 member municipalities of the Communauté de communes du Bassin de Joinville en Champagne .

geography

Chambroncourt is 38 kilometers northeast of Chaumont on the border with the Vosges department . The 10.18 km 2 municipal area has no surface running water and is covered by forests in the north and south. The Plémont in the east of the municipality forms the highest point at 408 meters above sea level. In the west of the municipality, the area rises to just over 400 meters, where wind energy is generated. The neighboring communities are Morionvilliers in the north, Trampot in the east, Aillianville (point of contact) and Orquevaux in the south-east, Leurville in the south and west and Épizon in the north-west.

The Chambroncourt Priory was founded by Molesme Abbey before 1100 .
