Doncourt-sur-Meuse (until 1924 Doncourt ) is a French commune with 39 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Marne department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Champagne-Ardenne ). The municipality of Doncourt-sur-Meuse is located in the Bassigny region on the upper Meuse , about 27 kilometers south-southwest of Neufchâteau and 36 kilometers west of Vittel . The municipal area of ​​5.93 km² is characterized by two ridges running in a west-east direction, which slope down to the Maas in the west. The valley of the Ruisseau du Grand Étang extends between the ridges . From this valley, the village of Doncourt “climbs” about 35 meters up the northern ridge with the church at the highest point. Doncourt-sur-Meuse is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Hâcourt in the north, Malaincourt-sur-Meuse in the north-east, Chaumont-la-Ville in the east, Champigneulles-en-Bassigny in the south-east, Breuvannes-en-Bassigny in the south, Levécourt in the south-west as well Huilliécourt in the west.
