location

Montheries is located on the Renne River about 64 kilometers east-southeast of Troyes and 18 kilometers west-northwest of the small town of Chaumont in the west of the Haute-Marne department.

history

The parish belonged to the Chaumont district from 1793 to 1801. Since 1801 it has been part of the Chaumont arrondissement. From 1793 to 2015, Montheries also belonged to the canton of Juzennecourt .
