The 2008-09 OHL season was the 29th season of the Ontario Hockey League . The regular season began on 17 September 2008 and ended on 15 March 2009. The play-offs started on 18 March 2009 and ended with the second J. Ross Robertson Cup a gain in the Windsor Spitfires on 8 May 2009 who prevailed against the Brampton Battalion in the OHL final .
