Die Märchenstunde (in Germany Die ProSieben Märchenstunde (Seasons 1–4) and ProSieben's 1001 Nights (Seasons 5), in Austria Die ORF-Märchenstunde (Seasons 1 + 2)) is a television series produced from 2006 to 2009 and broadcast from 2006 to 2012 . The scripts wrote u. a. Tommy Krappweis , Erik Haffner and Norman Cöster , who also came up with the stories of Bernd das Bread for KiKA . They also direct and play a few minor supporting roles.

In each episode, a classic fairy tale like Hans im Glück , Little Red Riding Hood or Rapunzel is satirized. Sometimes the entire plot, characters or even the end of a fairy tale are rewritten. For example B. The Frog King is not a talking frog or the unlucky marie in Frau Holle is actually the good one. Allusions to well-known films, television series and commercials continue to appear. Fixed characters are the storyteller ( Thomas Fritsch ) and his "assistant" Bruto, a medieval executioner , whose job it is, Bernhard Hoëcker , who always tries in vain to intervene in the story of the fairy tale or even play a part in it, rudely removing it every time. The narrator always acknowledges this with a sarcastically relieved "Thank you, Bruto!" In the fifth season, Carolin Kebekus takes on the role of storyteller.

2nd season

The second season was broadcast in September and October 2006 on ORF eins (from September 16) and ProSieben (from September 18).

Synopsis: The miner's sons Albert, Martin and Jakob have to go out into the world and receive from their masters a “gold donkey”, a “table set yourself” and a “stick out of the sack”.
