from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The tour of the South African national cricket team to Australia in the 2016/17 season took place from November 3 to 27, 2016. The international cricket tour was part of the 2016/17 international cricket season and includes three tests .

prehistory

It was the first tour of the season for both teams. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the same season in South Africa . The third test in Adelaide was held as a day-night test, the second ever after the first one against New Zealand the year before at the same place . The South African players in particular had reservations as the Australians had more experience with the pink ball required for it. On June 8, 2016, the South African Association gave its final approval.
