Serengeti was a German car brand.

Company history

The company Haag Plasticbau from Gerlingen started producing automobiles in 1970. The brand name was Serengeti . Production ran until at least 1972.

The only model was a VW buggy . The body was made of plastic . A particularly high waistline and a hinged front hood were striking. The spare wheel was on the outside of the rear. The basis of the vehicle was the chassis of the VW Beetle , which was shortened by 36 cm . The four - cylinder boxer engine with 40 hp provided the drive .
