The Origin is a mid -range car model in retro design presented by Toyota in 2000 . The model was marketed exclusively in Japan . However, a few copies made it to Hong Kong via import routes .

The model was developed on the basis of a common platform for the Toyota Brevis , Lexus IS and Toyota Progrès models . The aim was to create a model reminiscent of the Toyopet Crown RS from 1955. The design was largely retained and only adapted to the contemporary style in details. How many copies of the Origin were built is unknown.
