After the end of production of the Toyota Corolla Altis , popular in the People's Republic of China , the China FAW Group decided to build the Corolla in their plants and bought the necessary licenses. In June 2007, production of the Toyota Corolla EX began , which ranks alongside the Corolla imported from Japan in the model range .

Furnishing

So far, the Corolla EX is only available in the G model . This offers intermittent windshield wipers, ABS, EBD, SRS airbags, crystal Carglass headlights, parking and reversing sensors, power steering, electric windows, electr. adjustable rear-view mirrors, central locking with remote control, manual air conditioning and fog lights. First Automotive Works offers another standard innovation with the immobilizer .

Another new feature is a turning radar that constantly monitors the vehicle. The system evaluates the direction in which the steering wheel is turned and constantly calculates the resulting direction of travel. In the case of a given handicap or danger, an acoustic warning signal draws attention to the obstacle. The driver also sees these points on his own display monitor with the exact position and can use the four-step light to see how far he is from the obstacle. This is also amplified by acoustic signals.

Facelift 2013

The Corolla EX is available with a 4-speed automatic transmission and a manual 5-speed transmission. An ECT circuit (called: Super ECT) is also available at an additional cost. When it comes to painting, the customer can choose between five different paint finishes: white solid (白色), silver metallic (银 金属 色), champagne metallic (香槟 金属 色) and black mica (黑 云母 色). The Corolla EX does not have a leather interior . It is only delivered with a high-quality, brown-colored fabric that is similar to artificial leather.

A 1ZR-FE engine with a displacement of 1598 cm³ and an output of 88 kW (120 PS) provides the drive . The maximum speed of the manual version is 200 km / h and that of the automatic transmission 180 km / h.

In spring 2013 there was a facelift of the Corolla EX.
