The Toyota Verso is a van that was produced by Toyota between spring 2009 and summer 2018 . It is based on the platform of the Toyota Corolla and replaced both the Toyota Corolla Spacio / Corolla Verso and the Toyota Avensis Verso in the model range . Depending on the equipment variant, it offers space for up to seven people.
history
The Toyota Verso was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2009 . The design is adapted to the current Toyota models such as Avensis or iQ .
The dimensions and the wheelbase are only slightly larger than the Toyota Corolla Spacio / Verso. The front has a louvred grille, other headlights and air intakes, and a more contoured bonnet.
The front fenders are highlighted even more clearly, while the side window areas and the roof contour remained almost unchanged. The side view is traversed by a conspicuous, curved edge of light that begins on the front door sill and ends in the rear spoiler lip on the roof. Like the previous model, the rear has silver-colored rear lights and a wider rear window.
In the interior, the Verso is based on the Toyota Avensis . The central ventilation nozzles and the instruments, which are now in the middle and geared towards the driver, are arranged unusually.
Facelift
In the early summer of 2013, a revised version of the Verso with a visually significantly revised and modernized front section came onto the market. This is now based on that of the second generation Auris . The rear, however, was only slightly modified, technically the verso remained largely unchanged.
A 112 hp 1.6-liter turbodiesel has been added to the range of models since the beginning of 2014. The four-cylinder engine comes from BMW and is manufactured in their plant in Steyr.
The Verso has not been offered by Toyota since July 2018.
