Awards from Star Wars films and series
Star Wars is one of the screenwriter, producer and directorGeorge Lucasthought upepic.
The film saga consists of nine feature films from the "Skywalker saga" from 1977 ( Star Wars ) , 1980 ( The Empire Strikes Back ) , 1983 ( The Return of the Jedi ) , 1999 ( The Phantom Menace ) , 2002 ( Attack of the Clone Warriors ) , 2005 ( Revenge of the Sith ) , 2015 ( The Force Awakens ) , 2017 ( The Last Jedi ) and 2019 ( The Rise of Skywalker ) , as well as from spin-off films from 2008 ( The Clone Wars ) , 2016 ( Rogue One ) and 2018 ( Solo ) .
The animated series The Clone Wars , Rebels , The Forces of Fate and Resistance are also part of the saga's official chronology. With The Mandalorian first time appeared real filmed series; more are to follow.
Films from the Skywalker saga
The Star Wars Skywalker saga consists of nine films in a total of three trilogies, which are listed in chronological order according to the year of their release:
Original trilogy
Note: The reasons why the original trilogy has relatively few awards from guilds, critic associations and communities compared to the other newer trilogies is, among other things, that today's film guilds and unions such as the Visual Effects Society , critic associations such as the Broadcast Film Critics Association with their Critics' Choice Movie Awards and community prizes such as the Empire Award from the British film magazine Empire have only existed since the 1990s and 2000s, or were founded during this time. In addition, awards such as the Online Film & Television Association Awards and the Golden Schmoes Awards did not arise until the Internet era and can only be found there.

Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (2017)
Star Wars: The Last Jedi premiered in Germany on Thursday, December 14, 2017, and in North America on Friday, December 15, 2017.
Note: As with Episode VII: The Force Awakens and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story , many well-known award winners and critics' associations (to avoid spoilers) were not given the right to see the film before the world premiere in Los Angeles. These include z. For example the Hollywood Foreign Press Association , whichawardsthe Golden Globes , and the International Press Academy with its Satellite Award ; the Broadcast Film Critics Association with the Critics' Choice Movie Award and the Los Angeles Film Critics Association are examples of critic associations that announce their nominations as early as the beginning of December each year and thus the films that are only open to critics in the middle or at the end of the month cannot be taken into account.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016)
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story premiered in Germany on December 15, 2016.
Note: As with Star Wars: The Force Awakens a year earlier, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was not fully shown until the world premiere. Members of major and important award-distributors such as the Hollywood Foreign Press Association , whichawardsthe Golden Globes , or the International Press Academy with its Satellite Award , were not allowed to see the film before the world premiere. The film could therefore no longer be included in the nomination lists (which were already closed at the premiere). The same applies to critic associations such as the National Board of Review , the New York Film Critics Circle or the Los Angeles Film Critics Association .
