The forest estate district of Buchholz is one of the two municipality-free areas of Schleswig-Holstein (the other is the Sachsenwald ).
geography
The 41 square kilometers large Forstgutsbezirk is about 8 kilometers west of Bad Segeberg at the Federal Highway 206 to Bad Bramstedt . It belongs to the central area of Bad Segeberg.
There are no residential buildings in the forest estate district, which is part of the Segeberger Forest , only the Glashütte colony (service building of the forest administration).
The unincorporated area is part of the Office Leezen in Segeberg .
The inhabited parts of the Buchholz forest estate belong as exclaves to the communities of Bark , Hartenholm , Heidmühlen and the city of Wahlstedt .
