The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships 2013 was a tennis tournament that took place from February 25th to March 2nd, 2013 in Dubai . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2013 and was played outdoors on hard courts. In the same week the Delray Beach International Tennis Championships will be played in Delray Beach and the Abierto Mexicano Telcel will be played in Acapulco . The latter, like the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, belongs to the ATP World Tour 500 category , while the Delray Beach International Tennis Championships belong to the ATP World Tour 250 category . The week before that, the WTA Tour 2013 tournament of the same name took place.

In the individual, Roger Federer , who has already won the tournament five times, defended his title, but lost in the semifinals against Tomáš Berdych , who lost in the final to Novak Đoković 5-7, 3-6. In doubles, Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna were the defending champions. Last year's winner Mahesh Bhupathi and his new partner Michaël Llodra won the doubles after defeating last year's partner Rohan Bopanna in the semi-finals.

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs.

The qualification for the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships 2013 took place on February 23 and 24, 2013. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
