English national cricket team in New Zealand in 2001/02

The tour of the English national cricket team to New Zealand in the 2001/02 season took place from February 8 to March 30, 2002. The international cricket tour was part of the 2001/02 international cricket season and included three test matches and five ODIs . New Zealand won the ODI series 3-2, the test series ended 1-1.

prehistory

New Zealand previously played a three-nation tournament in Australia while England toured India . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 1996/97 season in New Zealand .
