geography

Magnet is about thirteen kilometers north-northeast of Vichy . Magnet is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Félix in the north and northwest, Saint-Gérand-le-Puy in the north, Périgny in the east and northeast, Saint-Étienne-de-Vicq in the south and southeast, Bost in the south and Seuillet in the west and Southwest.

The Saint-Gérand-Le Puy-Magnet train station was located in the municipality on the Moret-Veneux-les-Sablons-Lyon-Perrache railway, which is no longer served today.
