Denmark took part in the 2004 Summer Olympics in the Greek capital, Athens, with 92 athletes, 44 women and 48 men.

Since 1896 it was Denmark's 24th participation in the Summer Olympics .

Flag bearer

The rower Eskild Ebbesen carried the flag of Denmark during the opening ceremony in the Olympic Stadium .

Medals

With two won gold, one silver and five bronze medals, the Danish team finished 37th in the medals table .
