Prima Leben und stereo ( PLUS ) was an open-air rock festival in Freising on the first weekend in August , which was organized by the cultural association of the same name. It has taken place at the Vöttinger Weiher since 1991. Most of the bands came from the German-speaking, alternative guitar rock scene .
history
A festival at Vöttinger Weiher took place for the first time in 1991. Since 1994 it has been organized by the local cultural association Prima leben and stereo with currently 200 volunteers. It has been visited by 5,000 guests per day (10,000 in total) in recent years and has been sold out regularly for many years. The association also organizes the Night of Music in Freising, the Freising Advent and the Kino am Rang , where films are shown in the open air on the Weihenstephan campus for a week. The festival at Vöttinger Weiher celebrated its 20th anniversary on August 2nd and 3rd, 2013. The bands Tocotronic and Moop Mama performed , among others . In 2015, the festival was likely to take place at the Vöttinger Weiher for the last time, as the west bypass Freising is being built.
