Target is a central French town and municipality ( commune ) with 254 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Allier department in the north of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region (before 2016 Auvergne ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Vichy and the canton of Gannat (until 2015 Chantelle ).

location

Target is located in the Bourbonnais landscape about 35 kilometers northwest of Vichy . Target is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Voussac in the north, Monestier in the east and south-east, Chirat-l'Église in the south, Vernusse in the south-west, Biomard in the west and Saint-Marcel-en-Murat in the north-west.

The A71 autoroute runs through the municipality .
