Oudrenne ( German Udern , Lorraine Uderen ) is a French commune with 740 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region .
geography
The municipality of Oudrenne is located in a side valley of the Moselle , 13 kilometers northeast of Thionville .
The two southern villages of Breistroff-la-Petite ( Kleinbreisdorf ) and Lemestroff ( Lemmersdorf ) have also belonged to Oudrenne since 1811 .
history
The place was first mentioned in 932 as Udera villa , since 1661 it belongs to France. The current spelling of the place name has been in effect since 1756 (1869–1871 temporarily shortened to Oudren ).
