Vladimir Georgievich Sukharev ( Russian Владимир Георгиевич Сухарев ; born  July 10, 1924 in Georgievka , † April 30, 1997 ) was a Soviet athlete . The 1.79 m tall and 76 kg heavy sprinter was particularly successful internationally as a relay runner.

At the European Championships in Brussels in 1950 Sucharew was used as the starting runner in the Soviet 4-by-100-meter relay and together with Levan Kaljajew , Levan Sanadze and Nikolai Karakulow won the title ahead of the teams from France and Sweden.

In addition, Sukharev won two relay Olympic silver medals. 1952 in Helsinki together with Boris Tokarew , Kaljajew and Sanadze and in 1956 in Melbourne with Leonid Bartenew , Tokarew and Yuri Konovalov . In both cases Sukharew ran in the bottom position.
