Yazeed Bin Mohammad Al-Rajhi ( Arabic يزيد الراجحي, DMG Yazīd ar-Rāǧiḥī ; * May 5, 1981 in Riyadh ) is a rally driver from Saudi Arabia .

Career

Al-Rajhi started his rally career in 2007. He competed in several marathon rallies in the Middle East for two years. He then won two rallies in the Middle East Rally Championship with a Peugeot 207 S2000 . In 2009 and 2010 the Frenchman Matthieu Baumel accompanied Al-Rajhi in the passenger seat.

In the 2011 season he focused on the lower classes of the WRC . He was able to finish a rally of the seven he started in.

In 2012 Al-Rajhi started with a Ford Fiesta RRC and now with co-driver Michael Orr in the SWRC . With 88 points, the duo took third place in the overall ranking.

The 2013 season started well with a victory at Rally Sweden in WRC2 . Al-Rajhi broke two vertebrae after a serious accident at a marathon rally in Saudi Arabia. After a three-month break, he drove the Finland Rally and finished it in fourth place. After two podiums in Australia and Spain , as well as eighth place in Great Britain , he finished fifth in the overall ranking. The next two years did not go as well. In 2014 he finished 11th and in 2015 Al-Rajhi finished 28th overall in the WRC2.

For 2016 , Yazeed Al-Rajhi has entered the top class of the World Rally Championship with co-driver Michael Orr and a Ford Fiesta RS WRC .
