prehistory
classification
India previously played a tour against Australia , for England it was the first tour of the season. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 2007 season in England .
Heading
Seven ODIs were originally planned. The fourth ODI was initially planned in Jamshedpur , but when there were doubts about the condition of the Keenan Stadium there, the responsible association gave back its hosting rights. Instead, Bangalore was earmarked for the event. The second test was originally planned in Mumbai , but was moved to Chennai on November 26th due to the attacks there . At the same time, the number of ODIs was reduced to five. The English team then traveled back to England in the meantime.
