English national cricket team in India for the 2016-17 season
The England national cricket team's tour to India in the 2016/17 season took place from November 9, 2016 to February 1, 2017. The international cricket tour was part of the 2016/17 international cricket season and included five tests , three ODIs and three Twenty20s . India won the Test Series 4–0 and the ODI and Twenty20 Series 2–1 each.
prehistory
India previously played a tour against New Zealand and England in Bangladesh . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in England in the 2014 season .
