Furdenheim Protestant Church

The old cemetery at the Protestant church was closed in 1860, in the same year the land was bought for the new cemetery, the first graves of which date from 1864. The wall of the enclosure was completed in 1867. The original church in Furdenheim was built in the 13th century and consecrated to St. Nicholas of Myra . Only the bell tower with the choir remains of this original church . Around 1575 the parish became Protestant. The nave was destroyed in 1820 and rebuilt in 1822. A small window from the 13th century was built into a neighboring house. The pastorate was closed during the French Revolution (1789–1799) and converted into a school. Meanwhile, the pastor lived with private individuals. Today's pastorate was built in 1912.

In 1846 a new school was built, which was inaugurated in 1848, and the Mairie (mayor's office) is also housed in the building.
