Trivia

  • The opening concert in Prague was the most popular Jackson concert of all time with over 120,000 official visitors.
  • In countries like Malaysia and Tunisia, Jackson changed parts of his choreography. Since these countries were of Muslim religion, the handle in the crotch was omitted. The song Dangerous was also removed from the setlist in some Muslim countries.
  • At the first show in Sydney in 1996, Michael Jackson sang Beat It completely live due to technical problems .
  • The HIStory Tour was Jackson's first and last tour to include the songs DS and Come Together .
  • At the concert in Jerudong Park, Brunei, the lifting platform was missing due to lack of space. So were Beat It and Earth Song shown with a slightly different choreography.
  • Until the concert in Zaragoza, Spain, Jackson wore a red leather jacket instead of the white jacket he usually used on the song Thriller .
  • At the first concert in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, in 1996, Jackson wore a dark red leather jacket with red and white accents during Thriller .
  • The concert in Ostend, Belgium, was postponed by Jackson due to Princess Diana's death. The postponed concert took place in memory of Lady Diana, during the song Heal the World a portrait of Lady Diana was to be seen, and not the globe as usual.
